Supervisory Spiritual Direction Groups

Information about Supervisory Groups

Please contact me if you’re interested in joining a Supervision group. I form new groups as needed. These groups are filled with other spiritual directors. I facilitate the group’s work.

Group Supervision, Contemplative Listening for the Spirit process

  • Opening by Robbie (welcome, preview, boundary markers) 

  • Brief prayer by the timekeeper 

  • Silence (2 minutes, with or without spoken prayer or scripture) 

  • 10-12 minutes for presenter (this includes reading the Spiritual Direction prayer)

  • 2 minutes of silence 

  • 3 minutes clarifying questions 

  • 20-30 minutes we each ask honest, open questions as both help the Presenter “see” what the Spirit is inviting him or her to see, and as we feel our own moments of aha.  

  • 3-6 minutes Presenter responds using “I” statements (I feel/sense/wonder) Presenter can also remain in silence and not respond!
